'Build Your Own' Workshop (28/4 & 12/5)

Service Description

Note this course is scheduled to take place on Sunday 28th April & 12th May for approx 4 hours per session (a 9am morning and 1pm afternoon session will be split closer to the time) Have you or your partner ever wanted to make your own wood/resin product, but don’t know where to start? Alderwood has you covered! Our popular ‘Build Your Own’ workshop is up and running again where Tony & Joe dispense their experiences & knowledge required to create these beautiful pieces of functional art, which is yours to keep. Choose from 3 build options: - Table top cutting/serving board (~35cm x 55cm x 2cm) - side table incl hairpin legs (~35cm x 55cm x 3cm) - coffee table incl base (~50cm x 75cm x 3cm) - Hall Table including 90cm hairpin legs (75cm x 25cm x 3cm) A deposit will secure your attendance to our two-day workshop, consisting of the following: Day 1 - Greeting & Induction - Introduction to the Design - Timber Selection & Prep - Resin Selection, Mixing & Pouring - Day 2 Design Day 2 (typically one fortnight later) - Review of Progress - Sanding - Leg installation - Oil-Wax Finishing - You can then take your project home, but we recommend you collect it later to allow the finish to cure! This fun course arms you with the required knowledge to create your own resin pieces, while allowing you to take home your own fully finished resin product as part of the price! Be sure to pick Tony & Joe's brains throughout – they love being quizzed on the process! This workshop will move at a beginners pace, but can be suitable for any experience level; be it a novice to an experienced woodworker. We will cater to your experience level and will make sure that you leave with a beautiful bespoke piece for your home.
